Electrician’s Helper will take the hassle out of looking up electrical codes and doing complex calculations for installations.
With Electrician’s Helper you can...
● Calculate voltage, current and power in 3 phase delta and wye circuits.
● Find the ampacity of a conductor as per the NEC and CEC tables.
● Calculate the voltage drop in a line based on length, size, current and temperature.
● Find the total box fill by entering the size and number of conductors, straps and clamps.
● Find the maximum number of conductors allowed in a particular size raceway based on NEC and CEC rules.
● Determine what size raceway is needed for a bundle of conductors.
● Find the maximum bend radius of a conduit.
● Find the maximum capacitor kvar for a motor and the current reduction obtained.
● Find the motor current, heater current, breaker required, wire size, starter and conduit size for a particular 3 phase motor.
● Find the full load current of an induction, squirrel cage, and synchronous motor.
● Find the locked rotor current of a single or 3 phase motor.
● Estimate the Maximum Pull Tension.
● Calculate voltage, current and kVA of single and three phase transformers.
● Do basic ohm’s law calculations.
● Find decimal equivalents of fractions.
● Convert temperature scales.
● Look up connector configurations.
● Look up NEC tables 311.60(C)(67-84)

Well. Its the first release for the Canada (V1.1.1). Not bad at all.
For an application useful and for $6.00, it should be included all the Table 16, 17 (The 2008 edition), 53 AND possibly the shema 1.
Big hope for the future. I will send a feedback after the future release.
Dont forget to upgrade to 3.1.3 in your Iphone.
Its done... version 1.2 are there. Table 16 and 17 are added.

Great app, even for a Canadian. Just wish it had more CEC tables and code,
Love this app. Use it all the time but I wish the 3phase full load with info section contained 600 volt info.
Work with 600 V all the time. Only complaint I have. Well worth the money!!!!
Love this App. But in Canada most of our motors are 600v. Please add 600v data to the 3 phase full load w/info table.

As an electrician, this app is just what ive been looking for. The interface is clean and easy to use, unlike some of the other electrical apps. There are plenty of features in the app, and I would highly recommend this app to anyone. It appears a lot of thought and work went into creating this.
Some bad moments
Extremely disappointed. NEC and CEC should be separate apps. How do I get my 6 bucks back?
6 bucks and the data in the box fill table is wrong, CEC data incorrect. Requesting refund.

Its a useful app but not suitable for Canada, you would sell more if it was up to date with CEC. its good to make money on apps just as much as it is to serve those who buy
I got this app because I thought I would be able to reduce code book referencing. Turns out this jut confuses me and I need the code book anyway. This app is worth $0.99 tops. Definitely not $7.99
Do I really need a calculator for simple motor and transformer calculation?
Maybe if I wasnt an electrician.
Remove all the useless functions and make it simple fast and while you are at it accurate. Where is the 600V?
